Crazy game, but you found a very nice save--well done.

Yes thats right, actualy considered it in the game (Knight could go anywhere I guess on move 12 ) but its been a while when I made a smothered mate.  :)

Wow, nice game... Now I'm really wondering if your opponent could have taken ANY of that material safely... anyways, his last chance had to be something like P-KR3 (h3) or P-KKt3 (g3) ... but I don't even know if that would be enough...

Thanks, I tried the h3 variation (in some way)  there is also no escape i guess after after 8... Qf6. Im still wondering on which move he had to do something about the attack instead taking pieces.

    12. b4 forces a draw after 12...Nh3+ 13. Kh1 Qxf1+! 14. Bxf1 Nf2+ with perpetual, but 12. Be3! Bxe3 13. Nd2 looks like it saves White.

The knight has to go to d3, no other square will work. On d3 it cuts off the c4 bishop from defending the f1 rook.
