I've recently been dabbling with the Leipzig Gambit (also known as the Halloween Gambit due to the shocked look of the black player's face as if they saw a scary halloween mask) and I simply love it.

The gambit comes out of the 4 knight's defense with 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Nc3 Nf6 4. Nxe5!?.  For those interested in the gambit I highly recommend reading the document found at:

    www.chessville.com/UCO/Halloween_Gambit/UON13HalloweenGambit.pdf

Going against the 5. ... Nc6 lines are relatively easy to learn as white but going against the 5. ... Ng6 lines require a lot of time studying and a lot of courage over the board.  White usually doesn't have immediate threats or compensation, but the position always seems to be attacking and resourceful if white plays his cards right and keeps his cool.

This was one of my best attacking games ever played so far.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did playing it!

Awesome game, I will definitely think about taking that one up!!  Lead to a very promising position!

    However,

    13. cxb4 Qxb4+ leads to a great position for white after 14. Bd2 Qxd4  15. Qxf7 Kd8  16. Ba6+ b6 17. Bc3 where blacks rook and queen are attacked and has no good way to save them!

    I didn't see Ba6+.  Brilliant!
