Harmless Mouse Slip

Most people seem to think that those who claim a mouse slip realized they screwed up right after clicking and want a retry.  Here is a silly example, from an obviously won game, of clicking on the wrong square.

I'm not sure if the person playing white was just trying to get the game over with, thought they had a chance to promote, or opting for a stalemate.  I'd bet heavily on the stalemate due to this interesting play:

Aren't you supposed to whine a little about mouse slips in the OP? Something like,"I was cheated by dishonourable chess player A"?Laughing

Never knew a mouse-slip to be harmless.

Though,  amusingly I'd have to say that a few  opening mouse-slips led to fascinating enough games for me to warrant changing my opening repertoire later on. :)

I have encountered mouse-slips that cost me several games.

One way is when I leave my hand on the mouse too long and I intend to castle, only to find my piece only moves over one space.  Very irritating!

The other way is when I move to the wrong square, whether or not I have my hand on the mouse too long.  Arrrrrgggghhh!

Yes, this is the typical mouse slip.

ClavierCavalier, that's a perfect example of what I mentioned!

How about a double feature?

Reminds me of a kung fu movie where the fighters stop their fists an inch away from the other's face.
