I did well to punish the mistake by my opponent, but would like some feedback on how I could have better countered the sicilian in my opening. Thanks!
that doesn't look like any sicilian defence I would play.
I did a little research and I think it was an Open French Sicilian.
I wouldn't do Bb4, though. In my personal experience, though i am rated lower than your adversary, I have has success with 5. ...g7. I think it is the dragon.
