In this game I sacrificed my Queen for a piece, a rook with a pawn ahaed. In theese type of positions a single mistake can be decisive.
Hey folks! Please open the move list to see some possible lines I calculated.
Very interesting final position! (too bad time ended it).
Interesting game indeed.... and agreed with TD, pity it ended with time.
I think on 36, King takes Bishop instead of Knight takes rook forces draw by infinite check of promoted pawn to Q
Doesn't 31...dxc2 give black the win? White has to push the f-pawn in order to slay the promoted piece and in the process blows up his entire position. Violence ensues. I think a reflex aversion to doubled-pawns might have caused black to overlook the possibilities (perfectly understandable given the time constraints).
I actually think ...C2 might be more decisive, as it forces the white queen to take up a defencive position, although the pawn should promote in a few more moves regardless.
