i think 4.g4? was pivitol in this game. your commendable attack taking full advantage of the weakness provided demonstrates this quite clearly...

8. Bb4+ gives white a chance to equalize by controlling the center with 10. d4 (after exchanging the white bishops and moving the Q to G3 on 9.)
