I'm just a newb when it comes to chess, but lately I have been doing a lot of training/learning I guess. Mainly just been doing tactic trainer and chess mentor. Guess it paid off!
Well anyway here is how it went (there is probably a lot of mistakes you might see and I was playing as white). We started off like any other game until came down to the move 8.Bd6.
Now I know that I had my queen on his king file so I just kept it there because thats good. I also saw that my black sq. bishop could probably come into the action a3. My first goal was to get that e4 pawn. But then I planned out something epic. I sacrificed my bishop and rook for a queen and then later, a bloody checkmate. I probably did a lot of mistakes in here but I can say I'm proud of this one because I thought it through and did something creative that I never did before.
Please point out my mistakes, and give me advice if you saw a better move.
( I did send a comp analyze but waiting for that to come in)

Very good eye for the tactical danger black was in :)
12.Ba3+ looks like mate in 2 or so because when the black queen leaves you can mate with Qe8.
22.Qxf7 was mate.
24.h4 or 24. f4 looks like mate in a few moves.

Very nice combo. That must have been fun to plan and execute.
Many opponents will not leave their king in such a vulnerable situation for so long, however. If I had a queen aimed at my king, I would probably castle earlier and try to aim my rook at the file containing your king and queen.
I'm sure someone will take the time to analyze your situation more closely and offere you some better advice.
I can't believe I missed some of those moves! Haha sometimes I just don't think that way. I get to greedy xD!
thanks for comment.

regarding wafflemasters point about 12. Ba3+ : once the black queen blocks mate, (Qd6) if you do Qe8, then the black king could just take your queen. so it wouldn't be mate. or am I missing something?
if this is the case, then 22. Qxf7 would be the first mate, no?
very cool game though! well thought out :-)

The knight on f6 prevents this.

Ba3+ is better than c3!!!
nachtwulf-- the black queen already took the knight on f6, in 12. Qxf6
not if white plays 12. Ba3+, hence waffle's suggestion. This should help for visualization:
yes, you are clearly right. I was confusing this scenario with the one in which ba3+ is played on 13, after 12....Qxf6. sorry 'bout that! In my mistaken scenario, the queen has already taken the white knight on f6. But if Ba3+ is played on the 12th move, then indeed, I follow you. thanks--
