    That was a nice checkmate, the opponent was busy getting pawns while their king was in trouble. On move 34 I see that the only square the king can move into is h2. Once the king is as restricted as it is now, that's the time to start looking for a forced checkmate.  Good work CaptainPike for keeping your eye on the prize while the opponent was off picking flowers in the sun.

    Doesn't 8... Nxd5 win a pawn?

    11. Bh6 is a weak attack and 12. h3 gives you back the piece.

    Anytime from move 30 you could have mated white the same way you did at the end.
