I was Black, and was about to be checkmated, by Qg8, Qh8, and Qxh6, but MY OPPONENT RAN OUT OF TIME!!!LaughingLaughingLaughing

An embarrasing part about it was that I nearly lost to a 1500, when I was an 1800.

What do you think about it?

I'd say it sucks to be the other guy, and that this isn't really something to brag about. I'd be more... ashamed.

I'm afraid I don't agree with Mosq.

I don't know the time controls in this particular game, but whatever the case may be, both players had the exact same amount of time. In chess, checkmating the opponent isn't the only thing to worry about you, as you know. Time management is critical.

crazy_attack was able to avoid checkmate while his opponent ran out of time. That's nothing to be ashamed of.

I'm sure his opponent Teenage-Wonder felt pretty bad after getting so close, but he has to face the fact that he lost. Not neccessarily because one person was better than the other, but because he was simply outplayed in the game.

crazy_attack himself says he nearly lost. But he won, fairly. Sure, not by much. But a win is a win. And it's certainly nothing to be ashamed about.
