Mimicking Morphy

Morphy being my favorite player, I try to play like him.  I believe I'm getting there.

By the way, this was a 30 minute game with 10 second increments.  Plenty of time to analyze the positions.  So, if I made a mistake or could have made a better move, please let me know.  I would like to learn from my errors.

It's weird how this thread says it was last posted in 7 days ago when I just created it...

Well, mate is not quite inevitable: 21... Kg7 22. Qf7+ Kh8, and there's no clear way to mate.

    23. Rf6 Qxf6! 24. Qxf6+ Kh7. If White don't continue with checks, Black either exchanges the White Knight, and a long enough endgame ensues, or, if Knight moves, they play e3-e2!, and White actually lose.

    23. Ne4? is also countered with e3-e2, and after 23. Nd5 Black answer Qg8!, forcing perpetual check (Queen exchange is fatal for White).

    20. Re5+ would be a nice way to win.

    20. ... Qe7 21. Rxe7+ Kd8 22. Qf7! Rh8 (22. ... Rxf7 23. Rxf7 Ke8 24. Rf1) 23. Qg7 is pretty.

But I liked the game. King's gambit games where White wins are always pretty.
