I'm surprised at myself for two reasons.  First, I didn't lose inside of ten moves to the From Gambit.  Second, I actually beat a 1700+ player.

Maybe, but he can't develop as aggressvely thanks to the pawn on d6.  I think e7's an inferior square for the dark-squared bishop.

of course black's play will become passive but after the developing phase he can achieve equality i think, still it was a good game pal!
