I just played against the program ChessTiger2010 in my palm
were he says he has 2540 USCF elo and really it's very hard to keep a long game alive, I usually don't play open games but I just try it and I felt good most part of the game the time control was 20 minutes for each one.

Congratulations - well played. I don`t know the engine you played. Did you use any hints provided by it and did you take back some moves during the game?

thanks, of course not it would be meaningless, the engine is this one http://ct_chess.pagesperso-orange.fr/ I didn't back any move and never use any hints.

I was expecting 11. ... Be6 but the 11. ... Re7 is interesting. Do you play this manuever often or is it the first time you invented in your head?

hehe I was out of book after the move 6 cause I usually play french or caro kann sometimes najdorf when I'm angry xD, I saw Be6 but don't like me my pawn structure after Bxe6 or Nxe6 so Re6 don't look bad because this don't give me any weakness at least that I can see.

Thanks for the link (if anyone wants to check it - I had to copy and paste it for when I clicked on it the Chess.com main page came out).

When I play my engine at full strength (it is supposed to be 2600+) I have to take back a lot of moves and lines. I wouldn`t say it is meaningless for I learn why my ideas don`t often work.

yeah of course it's good for learn but don't looks honest if I would post a game where I take back moves, don't would be a real game just a practice.

I agree it would be meaningless cause to me it takes the joy away when you finally draw or win! knowing you had help. In a real game you cant do that so why with a computer it sorta stunts the growth.

the highest rated achievement I ever got was a draw against a IM 2450 one on one in a 120min game (2hr) if I hadn't know before hand I would have thought it was jsut 2 GM's playing!!!Smile
