    If 13... Bd7 you can play 14 Qxd7+ and 15 Be3+ remaining a piece up.

     

    There was actually a fairly comical mate in 5:  14 Bg5+ Kc7 15 Bd8+ Kb8 16 Qe5+ Ka7 17 Qxa5+ Kb8 18 Bc7 (the move you played was actually a mate in 6:  in the 14... Ke7 line you give 18 Bb5 is not mate--Black can stave it off one more move by playing 18... Qd2+).

    missileman22, the opening I played is called the Queen's Gambit. dxc4 (Queen's Gambit accepted) allows me to play e4 (claiming the centre) with a tempo, as it attacks c4 pawn.

    Hello Jim, I think this was very good playing : combination above material win , your  opponent was in my opinion playing very risky, but offering your Knight on b5 was a beautyfull move: the very start of the end !
