Well f me, this was a bishop sac, not a knight sac. Can a mod maybe change the title? Sorry about that.

Anyway, I just played this game a few minutes ago while impaired by completely legal substances ;). It was a rematch of a game where he fell pretty quickly to an aggressive (but flawed) double Smith-Morra Gambit, so I thought this game I would try the Elephant Trap. No dice there, so instead I improvised this questionable bishop sac. Unfortunately, my opponent left after thinking about his predicament for a couple minutes, but I'm personally not sure I am far ahead here.

Can somebody of clearer mind please give some advice or analysis here?

Oh, time controls were 5|8 I think.

Mysterious resignation - maybe your opponent needed to go?! White could have played 11. Qd2 but even in the final position I think he should be significantly better after 12. Rc1. Black can get couple passed pawns but they are not far advanced and in the middlegame white's extra piece should be more important factor.

Yeah, I'm with Shakaali on this one. 12. Rc1 protects the knight, and your attack is over.
