Well played! 2.Nc3 may toss away White's first-move advantage, but it does take Black outside his prepared lines, and you handled the tactics quite well.  By the way, you really should've accepted the queen swap. You were ahead, so why not?

I am one of those players...

Where I can play without my queen but prefer not to exchage it unless it is forced. I also needed my queen to protect my passed pawn. As you can see, turned out well.
