Opponent Taking Forever!!
The guy is down by 2 minor pieces. his position is hopeless! I think you should get a win as soon as his time runs out.
If the game has been idle for this long I don't think he cares. I once had an opponent penalized just a little over 100 points on this site for poor sportsmanship, he was in a losing position like the one your opponent is in and If I remember right, I think he just abandoned the game, just as your opponent did.
Man, people need to learn some chess etiquette, more in particular the wood pushers.

Does the site really penalize people with loss of rating points for poor sportmanship? Does this happen often, and how is the rating points' loss calculated - or is this a standard value?
Btw, this is a game where my opponent takes almost all of his time (5 days) to make a move in this final stage of the game, which (i think you'll agree) is easily won for me. What bothers me isn't so much that he keeps playing, but that he takes so much time to move in a totally hopeless position where he doesn't have many choices...

it's not the first time i encounter such attitute, but i wish it's the last
Yes, sir! It only happened to me once, though. Of course the guy was a wood pusher. It's quite in the realm of possibility, (not remembering exactly what opening I used) that I played the Polish on him, and there are many patzers out there that are not used to such an opening that allowed me to trap his h8 Rook, and so on.
Regarding your game, it seems like he's trolling. You have his King blocked off by the Rook and he has 2 Backwards Pawns. I think you would agree, that his next best move is to tip his King over.

I've never played a "polish" game, and i had to look up what it is, heh
Regarding my game, his 2 backward pawns can become one free(unblocked) advanced pawn - after he sacrifices the other one, but i bring my rook over and he has nothing. It's easy to analyse this in a few minutes' time, and if he really wants to play it and not resign, then he should move and not stall the game... There are more chances that i have a hear-attack and lose the game on time than make a mistake and stalemate him, lol... It crosses my mind to resign such games myself, but... chess is very good for training your patience :)

My opponent is taking forever on this position he is losing! He was and still is on vacation time for the past 3 weeks!
By the way, names and ratings are online, not USCF of other rating systems.
