    I actually feel a little bad about playing it purely because of the phychological impact of the final move.  He gets a reality check that takes him from "up two points in material, winning" to "Checkmate in 3"

    Rob, yes it is a forced mate, Qa4# at the end of your line (although I didn't exactly analyze this midgame)

    I play d4 all the time and I can't understand the purpose of 4.a3.  I have never played that in my life.  Obviously this game proves my point rather emphatically!
