Played this game last night on top board for my local club in a cup competition. I got the opportunity to transpose into some variation of the Keres Attack (perhaps the Perenyi Attack), and the game was over pretty quickly. My opponent managed to play what I recognised to be a main line for quite a while despite apparently never having played against this opening before.

I also am far from an expert in the opening, but it's fairly straightforward for White to play if he knows the basic themes and tools (e.g. castling long to gain time).

It's a team cup competition. Our team won that round, so we're through the quarter-finals.

I forgot to put in a variation for 14...Ne6, which is losing for Black as well after the obvious 15. fxg7 Rg8 (Bxg7 16. Qxg7; 15...Nxg7 16. Qd7#) 16. gxf8=Q+ Rxf8, when Black is just a piece down with an exposed king and no counterplay.

Thanks man. We should have another game - I owe you a better effort than last time...
