Apologies for the show-off nature of this post. When I re-discovered this game I played a few years ago on ChessGames, I thought I would post it here.

Now, why can't I always play like that..?!

I never liked the Mona Lisa, I have no clue why it's still praised today. Your game was better than the bloody Mona Lisa, I thought you played very wellSmile

Thanks, I was just using the same title as the series of articles posted on this site to show a player's best game. This is definitely my best game, but you can't fully appreciate it by just watching the moves on the board. You need to have seen the facial expressions of my opponent while his position was collapsing as well Smile

h3 was the biggest waste of a move I ever saw. Well played.

    What about the Bloody Mary?

Yeah I agree about h3. I'm not sure the way he played the whole system really offers white anything, but after that move the bishop on c8 is pretty much already putting on his kamikaze suit and saying goodbye to his friends and family. The idea of Bxh3 just suggests itself. Good lesson against pushing pawns in front of your own king without a good reason.
