A thread dedicated to people playing games against theirselves.  Let me post one of my own, G/30, me vs me, that I played while waiting to use the computer.  Playing against yourself is great if you play both sides of the opening, unfortunately for black me I'm much better at playing the white side of the ruy, so I got crushed.

lol that's fun and a really nice game. I have tried to play against myself before but I always end up in a draw because I know what my plan is next, for black and white, so I try to stop that plan for both sides.

Yeah I'm pretty proud of it, outside of the mistakes during the transistion from opening to middlegame (when I was still phychologically out of it) and all the backtracking and mistakes while defending against whites attack.

I draw a bit more against myself as well, but not all the time.  I like playing against myself because whenever I lose, I know exactly where I went wrong.

I've done it before, but there's always a fear of cheating myself so I don't do it.

I used to do that a lot ... and then my mom got a job :P.

No but seriously, it's a great way to learn strategy, because tactics won't be much use!
