As a bona-fide patzer I rarely let my games see the light of day, but this was an interesting game. (sadly I did not get my king to the other side man.) Many thanks to my opponent for a game well-played.

I'll send GM Serper a message and see if he'll write an article on it. He was doing those Mona Lisa games, so maybe he'll indulge in annotating a game with a unique opening.

Nice win though. It's interesting watching the kingside pawn wall move slowly up, and how your king is relatively safe.

Is f4 considered a theoretical novelty or is it just an uncommon sideline that your opponent hadn't prepared for?

    EDITED for terrible grammar

    Some syrup-minded pancake-eaters might call Qg7-e5 a humongous blunder

I am doubtful at this level of play that he had failed to study this important variation.

The queen was obviously tired of being in the kitchen all the time (making waffles of course) and wanted to get out of the house.
