Erikido23,

Please drop the subject. I have moved on to posting miniatures once again.

I suggest you move on as well.  I am not the only one in this forum to make this request of you. (please read postings from last weekend).

You are too angry to carry on a social conversation and I have no desire to converse with you any longer. Please move on.

Quite the nice projection mister.  you post again and expect me not to resond?  Its fine.  Have fun with your psych

thank you BP,glad you enjoyed it!

yeah I didn't think the bishop pair was enough comp. for the structural damage.

I saw 20. Nxf6 but was afraid of 20..Rf8, but didn't see 21.Qe7

22..Qf8 was an interesting defense, maybe he could've weaseled out of that one.

at the end of your line bd4!? seems to give white the only chances of winning...with the ideas of rxf6 and rxg7(if the a rook offers an exchange of rooks)

interesting line erikido...I don't see the knock out punch after Rf8 though.

Now that I see it...5. Rb7 looks good,grabbing a pawn

CerebralAssassin19

good game Escalante...he didn't see that pin coming did he?Laughing

I am a terrible blitz player (and I mean really, really bad compared to my regular time controls play), but every now and then, something fun like this happens.

Here's a fun game I played earlier today at the coffee house (actually a pub, but that's not really important).

I have a hard time believing 7. Bxf7+ is a good move. What if Black had played 8... Rf8 followed by Kg8? In normal fork trick variations Bxf7 just leaves Black better. Here Black doesn't have the big center, but still the Bishop pair should count for something.

Hmm, perhaps. But after 8. Rf8 9.0-0 Kg8 10. c4 I still prefer white. He leads in development, his king is safer, and the two knights in the centre can't be dislodged without black making concessions. While black's bishops do look scary, Qh5 is also a possibility to force a trade with Ng5 or Bg5. I'm far from certain, though.

tmkroll

It's a moot point anyway because 7. Qh5 might be winning for White. Black's normal move there is Nd6 which in this version of the fork trick is (in the words of Ben Finegold) highly illegal. I guess Black has to try to d5, giving up the extra pawn, first, but a very brief look at it in a database lead me to the conclusion you were right about Nxe4 being bad and I didn't need to look at it any futher.

I only play blitz, so my games aren't very deep. Lately my undeep games have been shallower than usual. I try to play higher rated opponents and I've been shown why they're higher rated.  However, i played this mini game against an opponent rated pretty close to myself that made me happy for the moment:

How to stand on the wrong side of a miniature...

I posted some analysis of this game at http://chessskill.blogspot.com/2015/08/thinking-about-development.html

I play the Fischer Defense and I cringed at the sight of 5...Qf6. People who think they can win instantly with 3. d6!? without learning the theory (; But nice game, I always love seeing a good game with the King's Gambit.
