I'm new to chess and playing games on this site, I don't know what is used/permitted or if this was even a game on this site. For all I knew it could be a game where they are allowed computer analysis, I've heard of them.

I could have put it in a better way, and apologies to the TS for derailing the thread, and congrats on the achievement.

@Scottrf: No outside assistance was used. I implemented a database, found similar positions, and worked on the game for a long time. My main advantage came from Rakhmanator's evident blunder, which took me only seconds to refute.

Database is for openings, like game explorer?

@Scottrf: Yes, it is. Some other online databases like 365Chess and professional databases like Chessbase have many more games than the game  explorer, though.
