  I of course can't recommend such an odd opening, but it seems to be effective!

I recommend the Scandinavian Defense (1... d5), as a more serious attept that doesn't require to much knowledge.

It's like the Fried Fox Gambit.  What do you want to name it?  As long as White doesn't get too overconfident, he'll destroy you.

I will be making a forum on the Fred soon. 1. e4 f5 is the Fred Defense, or Duras Gambit. 1. e4 f5 2. exf5 Kf7 is known as the "Southern Fred". Does anyone have a clue on just why this opening is called the "Fred" defense?
