    Very strange.

I of course can't recommend such an odd opening, but it seems to be effective!

I recommend the Scandinavian Defense (1... d5), as a more serious attept that doesn't require to much knowledge.

It's like the Fried Fox Gambit.  What do you want to name it?  As long as White doesn't get too overconfident, he'll destroy you.

I will be making a forum on the Fred soon. 1. e4 f5 is the Fred Defense, or Duras Gambit. 1. e4 f5 2. exf5 Kf7 is known as the "Southern Fred". Does anyone have a clue on just why this opening is called the "Fred" defense?

"The Fred isn't dead." The miracles of crytogenics! (Is that the right spelling for crytogenics?)

I like the Fred Defense, I generally follow up with 2. Nf6 but 2.Kf7 is very fun as people often get far too offensive and you can counterattack quite effectivily with the open kingside.

It actually died when it left the womb. This necromancy must stop!

Nice game, but white did white play pretty poorly. =)
