If someone makes a typo on chess.com and nobody points it out, did the world just die?

OK, to be serious, I looked up the game: it was a 3-day time limit. So White had no excuse for his shabby play. Black took advantage of it by keeping up the pressure from move 2 onward. Why he didn't play 4. d5 instead of Nf3 I don't know. It gives up the long diagonal, but it cramps Black's play and keeps it closed.

Gee thanks DrSpudnick for the in depth critique of my play.  Tongue out  It is always easier to put someone down.  Seriously!  Play nice!  After all, it is just a game and we all have off days and miss a move.  Or perhaps give a little credit to princejher who plays a strong game.

White transposes to the Maroczy Bind variation of the Sicilian Accelerated Dragon, this is a strong opening choice for white.

    8. Bd3 on the other hand does look like a lemon. The bishop is behind pawns on d3 and just gets in the way of the queen. The bishop would be better on e2 where it keeps the knight out of g4.
