i think at 30...Qxe3, forcing the king away to the corner or the rook to block the check, you have a mate in the next few moves, even though the game ended soon after in a different way

The Queen is not trapped... 14 Ng5 or the best move would be 14 Bg5 would have white in a winning position.

What a odd looking opening...Does it have a name, or are were you just trying out something new?
it was just an opening against a weaker player, no 1700+ would allow this :P

The St George opening, Which Tony Miles used to defeat Karpov....
Beautiful.

This is very true. after 14. Bg5! Rg8 15. Qxf6 Qxf6 16. Bxf6, black is actually down a piece! The queen certainly looks trapped at first blush, but white should not have despaired so quickly. In my mind, you (white) should look closely before conceding such a large material loss; otherwise, you might as well resign!
Actually, even after 14. Ne5?? Rh7!, white still has 15. Nxf7 Rxg7 16. Nxd8 Rxd8, which is not completely losing for white, although it is admittedly not very good.
