- Yes,you gave your opponent doubled pawns but then you traded and undoubled them
- 8...c6?? Bxc6 would lose immediatly
- 15.e6? wasn't as good as 15.Nc6+ winning the rook
- They could've stopped mate with 17...Bd6 but 18.Nxa7 would've won a rook

That's probably my favorite mate at the moment. It was in the daily puzzle last week. That was good seeing you had to move the knight first (before taking the queen) to block the escape square. By "attack" I assume you mean capturing the black rook on a7? Because mate itself could be stopped still. But not that *and* protecting the rook.
