Yes, Vietcong plays chess. “Viet Cong” was commonly further shortened to “VC”, which in the phonetic alphabet is pronounced “Victor-Charlie”.
That US flag is the latest version. This flag was introduced on 4 July 1960 after Hawaii became a state in the 50th.
