I think this is my first win against a 2000+ player. Nothing fancy, more of a positional game. The time control was 30 0, but when the game was over we each still had over 25 minutes left on our clock

Nice checkmate! I like how you utilized your King. Congratulations!
thanks I'm really estatic about it!
I sent it for computer analysis, I missed 38...Rh3#

11...c5 is really bad. You just made your d-pawn backward for no reason.
12...Re8 13.Rfd1 loses a pawn. Maybe you could try 12...Be6.
26...Rb3 27.Rd1 f5 looks a little safer. Now White can't mess with e6. I'm not so great with endgames.
38.g3 looks like game over for white.

Congrats! :)

@kgwkyle thanks!
@nate23 I know :)

Why wouldn't Rh3 instead of g3 on move 38 be checkmate?

Well played. This was a 2000+ blitz player? They made a number of fairly serious bad moves, seemingly willingly giving themselves weaknesses without much provocation.
30...f5 screams out for 31. Re6+ followed by gxf5, and the d6 pawn can't be protected either. I don't think ...Rxb2+ Kg3 and pushing the pawn wins for black (since white can get behind the pawn in time and push his own passers), but I guess that must have been what put him off the idea.
Conflagration_Planet: You're the third person in 8 posts to point that out!
Oh. I just looked at the game, not the posts.

my opponent, programmer88, was 2160 something blitz, but this game was a 30 minute game, where he was 2023

gg, CS007, but I couldn't figure out one thing - if the time control was 30/0, and you say that when the game was over, both of you had 25 minutes left on the clock... so, I mean why both of you played so fast? Anyway, nice game.
I'm not sure why he played fast. A lot of the moves were instinct for me, and I naturally play fast, although thats a bad habit I need to break. thanks for commenting! :)
ok, thanks CS007, got it.

Please pay attention to Anthony's comment about 11...c5. Under normal circumstances, one should not even consider playing such moves, more so in that game, where Black's compensation for offering the d6 pawn on a plate is not visible, even with a telescope.
Black had a perfectly aceptable game- a bit cramped, but fairly solid, so there was absolutely no need for such suicidal policies.
Now the question is: how a player rated 2000+ could not find a way to collect his bonus pawn in a 30-minute game? I won't speculate anything- suffice to say that he was either boozy, or his real potential is much lower.
In the opening, White played 9.d4 and you rushed to take. In that kind of positions Black usually wants to keep his strongpoint at e5, so the natural move was 9...Bg4! putting direct pressure to d4 pawn. Of course white should play 9.h3 before d4, but then Black has plenty of time to develop naturally and soundly.
Even after your 9...ed4 10.Nxd4, Black has the typical trick 10...Nxe4 followed by ...d5, when he effectively uncramps his position, and has a fine game.
