    I have reported him.

But maybe I should apologize a bit as well for my ranting and raving.  ChristianSoldier, your mating attack was good and you are a good player.  I guess what got me going was the fact that this player is charging people money for his "coaching" skills and it does not take a strong player to see that his real playing strength is nowhere near that of a master.

Keep up the good play! Smile

Looks like he cheated his way up, then quit playing rated to stay there, so he could run his scam.

waller was correct in pointing out that 65. g5 was not a blunder.  In fact it is the best move since White's bishop is pointing to the Queening square.  The reason I found it strange was because the rest of the game went as follows with a draw for Black!

But with accurate play a clear win for White.

Guess it's back to end game books for me... Undecided

More evidence below. Nobody 2000+ should make those tactical blunders, even in a 5 minute game.

Did you see Stripunsky's blunder against Onishuk in the US Championship?

And just in case there is still doubt about the real strength of this player "coach"...

THIS KIND OF ENDGAME IS SIMPLE...IF YOU LEARN THE TACTIC "TEMPO" WHITE WILL 100% WIN BUT IF WITHOUT THE BIAHOP ITS A DRAW! NOW....IS IT THE RATING MAKES THE MOVE OR THE PERSON MAKES THE MOVE??? RATING ARE JUST NUMBERS!

White still could win even though it has no bishop, just get the opposition and play accurately!

Sadly if the people arguing my point understood that, there won't be any more arguments over this.  Undecided  The alleged 2120 player clearly did not have a clue of what opposition is.

But their point was that the configuration of the opposition changes when white has the bishop...playing g5 was probably the best move in that position.

Agreed.  waller pointed that out earlier in the thread and I posted 2 diagrams with just that. Smile

But you said this guy "clearly did not have a clue of what opposition is", but this example doesn't demonstrate that since he played the right move...or am I missing something?

You are missing quite a bit Smile  Read through the thread and check out the end result of the game.  You yourself noticed something "fishy" in the guy's play, as expected of someone with your rating. Wink

actualy in someone's draw g5 line, there is a move to salvage the win

    jetfighter - looks like 66. Kf5 Kh7 67. g6+ Kh6 68. g7  is a lot quicker in your line.

yeah, I was using someone elses post, and noticed that the last move was a stalemate, and I saw a Zugzwang.
