What you do when you realise, that you have just lost a pawn to a simple tactic?

Correct. You put back that cup of tea and start calculating yourself.

Well... To be perfectly honest, this is how I start almost all of my tournaments. The first game I have to lose a pawn, or some advantage, and then I can kick it into gear and focus on the game. It's weird, but I always play better after that initial mistake.

My answer: Focus on the game and beat the tar out of my opponent!
