2600 rating impossible

    I have been trying for 2 years now, at least monthly and to no avail or result, to  obtain a challenge with players on this site having a rating of 2600, which is  + 300 points above my rating .

    In the range of 0 to minus 300 points I do get challenges.

    Above my rating with up to 300 points more than my rating , I never get a challenge, why?

    Are chess.com players above say the 2600 rating part of a click or an esoteric group that no one can access unless you cheat and use a computer chess engine to boost you rating beyond the 3000 rating and therefore have a chance for a challenge.

    How do I get a challenge with higher rated players?

    The process involves candles, hoods, and Gregorian chants . . .

    I mean turn based, and what is ICC bro and how do I join it?

    Live: Freehand! Try that!

    Turn-based:

    Yes, maybe no players on this site actually are 2600-rated in turn-based. Perhaps they have some rating limit that you are outside of. Or you can improve your rating;

    P.S. (Challenge NM ozzie_c_cobblepot; he posted and his rating is 2406; not a bad choice!)

    Post #6 chessking47 for your suggestion and #7 NM ozzie_c_cobblepot for replying to the suggestion.

    Any time you both consider to challenge me you are welcome and both have a great day!

    It looks as if you could play against some various masters that are close to the 2000-2600 range. I won't throw out some random users though...

    Anyways, paul211, you can challenge me, but play easy because I'm not that good.

    You may have to slowly work your way up to that level. You can probably get games with players 100 points above you without a problem. Then work your way up to 2500 and challenge those 2600 guys.

    Posts no 9 and 10 great suggestions as i was trying to challenge players with a +200 points from my rating as I did with the lower ranking players this might work.

    Again many thanks to both of you.

    You are welcome. I expect to max out my own rating within the next 6 months at 2200-2300. It stands at 1830 based on 13-0 on this site. My USCF rating OTB is 2013. I have beat masters so I think I can get there. When I get high enough for you I am ready to play.
