The more D's the better?

Or is it true that when you play too much on a 2D Board, your OTB skills decrease?

Computer 3D board is nothing like real one for me, I can hardly see anything on the former.

Did King Arthur ever face a Sicilian Dragon?

I greatly prefer a 3D screen. I have two large monitors (30") and a relatively high-end (well, it was high-end when I bought it 4 months ago) graphics card.

I put the board on one monitor and the controls on the other. I'm going to eventually buy one of those USB DGT chess boards so I can move physical pieces while using a computer chess program (Chess Master 11, Fritz 11 etc...)

I have no use for 2D screens, except when I'm analyzing a game. The top-down perspective bothers me.

* I'm assuming that you are talking about the normal 3D on a 2D display and not stereo 3D. I haven't used the stereo 3D feature of Chessmaster 11 yet. I don't have the 3D glasses. I can't imagine that I'll use it much when I do buy a pair. It strikes me as a mere novelty... but I'll have to see.

2D is better sometimes on 3D you don't see things.
