I went to the dayton chess club last night and then some people came in we started to talk about chess and i found out he was on this site. We talked for a while and he said that I would be a good match for a man named Bill he has alzheimer disease they said if your paitent with him you will have a good game and in his day he was a very good player. I wait watch a lecture on tactics and then bill comes in and i ask him if he wants to play i was told to slow my play down not the moves but the time i make them. He pulls out of a piece of paper and records our game every move i make i make sure he is paying attention and then i call it out, out loud i blundered once and he did not take it if he would have i would have been a piece down and he very well could have won. we played for a while and we came out excatly the same on material i was sensing a draw coming on and eventually i kept asking for a draw he couldnt hear me eventually he could see a draw was forced i asked once more loudly and he accepted i played some blitz with the man next to me and my girlfriend talked to him and his condition was very bad but in my mind the best thing for him is chess and i was honored to play him.
