Here is a blitz game I played tonight. Losing materially, but I never felt to be at a positional disadvantage in the whole game...

 I thought my initial move in this puzzle was pretty thoughtful. I went ahead and put in all the moves so you can backtrack to the start of the game if you want. I'm not a very advanced player, so this was pretty good for me.

what happen if 27 ...Ng6,

I suppose 27...Ng6 could hold off the checkmate but 28. Bf4 forces the knight right back. So essentially if black won't allow the progression, white can force a draw, since I was -4 down materially...
