Well... I actually was reading Dr. Max Euwes book "Meet the Masters" and "Development of A chess Style" last night and enjoyed reading these two books (Comparing notes and anecdotes).I wasnt really studying it, i was just enjoying and playing through it and I was awed by Euwe's concepts on how he sees each players playing style. He was providing the stats, playing style, position each one looks for. These two books for me is impressive and very useful to a player seekingĀ his/her "Chess Idol" from the past. How i wished there were present day authors that could do this today. Thouroughly studying each top calibre players styles of modern day Grandmasters. But if one wishes to find the "Chess Champions" playing style that suits that of theirs (Gosh...is this english?) then these books are worth the while.:)
Soltis's book "Why Laskers Matters", Benko's "Winning with Chess Pschology" also impressed me (Obviously these books are for a Lasker fan )
