I love chess too! I think the descriptions are fine, but they need to clarify between the two for new members.

hahaha, in the past 5 years that I've been playing chess off and on, I have had many days where I realized I hadn't eaten anything all day... Always caring around a chess set with me, and my bedroom is scattered with dozens of chess books and old chess magazines.

I don't like to call it an addiction. More like a passion.

But I get focused (obsessed) over many things, not just chess. Just seems to happen more frequently with this game.

God I love chess!!!

then how did you write that message?

Well, if it really is a problem for you, then maybe instructional videos? I think there's heaps available. There's also free videos here on chess.com and other places as well.

And if you can't read, then learn to read!

haha chris...brilliant.  I have MS talk type program, which enables me to communicate, however it doesn't do it visa versa.  Thankyou padman, you have been somewhat an inspiration for me to learn to read.  In the meantime, i will keep up the losing.

IT STARTS WHEN YOU ARE YOUNG , YOU LEARN THE MOVES,

THEN YOU LEARN TO PLAY , THEN YOU FIND CHESS.COM,,

THEN WE NEED HELP, BECAUSE BEFORE YOU KNOW IT , THAT ALL YOU ARE DOING,

CHESS , CHESS , CHESS ,

READ UP ON IT , TALK ABOUT IT, CARRY SMALL CHESS SET, READ MORE BOOKS,

SOME WILL SAY GET A LIFE<<<<<//......

I NEED HELP AS WELL.

I NOW JUST PLAY ONE GAME AT A TIME ,  AND LIVE CHESS FORM TIME TO TIME.
