It is possible to advance multiple pawns and exchange them for multiple queens, isn't it?
Any pawn that makes it across the board can be promoted. There is no limit on how many times you can do this in a single game.
Well, yeah there is. The limit is eight times. :P
lol
I assumed that went without saying...but I guess I shouldn't assume.
As a courtesy Ive always exchanged for pieces that are off the board. I dont think you should promote to another queen unless it forces mate.
ok
Yup, I usually do this in quick live chess games when my opponent refuses to resign...just keep on promoting all the pawns I have left
you know what happens when you assume... it makes an ass out of u and me... ass-u-me!
Thanks all...
My confusion all came about because, during a blitz game on this site, i was unable to advance a second pawn to a queen... Very unusual I thought.
