Just noticed in the last week or so that very few new threads or forums are opened.

Is it because that all of the topics related or unrelated to chess have been flogged to death?

Or is it because of lack of interest in forums and people just want to play chess?

There are so many topics or interests in chess players that can be discussed that I am simply flabbergasted that we do not explore them.

Some suggestions are:

1. Sports you like.

2. Health and all of it' derivatives

3. Exercise to improve your physical condition.

4. Music, a few forums attempted this but with a short live.

5. A balanced life, what is it?

6. Addictions and how to try to control.

7. Travel best deals.

8. Allergies and what are the best remedies or approaches to limit the effects.

9. Antiques.

10. Paintings appreciation and or value.

11. Astronomy, perhaps everyone should look at the Hubble site for some magnificent pictures of the universe. Link: http://hubblesite.org/

12. Beauty

13. Financial investments and budgeting

14. CPR and first aid courses.

15. Culinary recipes.

16. Video and audio conversion.

17. Yoga or techniques of relaxation. Breathing and concentration techniques to use that have not been mentioned.

 And so many more topics that I have not covered.

What would you like to discuss?

I'd like to discuss why men are better than women, if Morphy could play chess at high levels today, why Fischer had such high levels of awesomeness, why Fischer was such a jerk, whether knights are better than bishops or vice-versa, and what is the meaning of strategically position.

  Most threads get hijacked these days in some form or another as I am sure this one will eventually be. Take cover everyone!
