I've only seen two ads on chess.com for chess books, and both of them were for the Colle Zuke. Those of you who know me will appreciate that I probably wouldn't have started this thread if it was another opening but I'm wondering if the ads are biased.

Even before I took a premier membership I didn't see any of the ads on chess.com. Firefox's ad-blocker eliminates most Internet ads pretty effectively.
Bias? Probably. It's what advertising is all about.
