Are we controlled subconsciously by TV ?

Why are so many of us negative ?

Do we all deeply desire the same things ?

Do you believe in god?

        There are plenty of people who are so deluded that they think that characters they see portrayed in TV fiction are real. There have been instances of actors who play unpopular characters being attacked in the street. It makes you wonder sometimes whether we are all living in a huge lunatic asylum.

I'm not. And I'll answer this question right after I watch 2 Broke Girls.

Defiantly agree with you RG1951, it's scary to be honest, I believe anything can be printed in our minds through TV and radio, especially to the younger generation as they are so capable of adapting and learning. It's sad to see what's on TV nowadays and thought should be considered more to what is acceptable to show in my opinion, having a pin and a age limit doesn't work for the majority

Controlled is way too strong a word, but I think we are very influenced.

Because the world is abnormal and full of pain and sin. Fortuneately God made a way.

I believe at the core we all desire the same things. Our desires are far too weak.

I do. I do not have enough faith to believe that chance could generate everything around us. The evidence of a creator is evident.

Agreed also, there is a creator but religion I struggle to accept, I would like to follow a religion for guidance but I can't stop thinking that something is wrong when i try to study it. I feel it's control and make it hard for me to accept .

You are controlled subconsciously by everything around you, not only the media. Imagine if you spent most of your life in isolation, you would know nothing. I also don't think most of what we view of others and our own behaviour is consciously influenced. Any subconscious influence directly influences are conscious. So I think the question you are trying to ask is does the media subcocnsciouly influence our conscious behavior?

How about the amazing complexity of the universe? From the smallest particle to the mind-blowing size of the galaxies? Doesn't it boggle your mind? It does me.
