If so, join the Minor Masters!  Our ultimate goal is to have all chess.com users 16 and under to play for our group.  We also have a group tournament starting in a few days so join shortly for the best experience!

Im not under 16 but yoiur thread implies that there is some form of team chess available at chess.com/ Id like to have my own team so if you could fill me in on exactly how you are going to play then it would be most appreciated. Is it an officially orgamised chess.com team event for example?

When ih8sens said " We also have a group tournament starting in a few days"

what he meant was, that there is a tournament starting just between the members of the Minor Masters group only [in-house so to speak].

He didn't mean team vs team or group vs group.

Do you intend to kick people out when they turn 17?

The final word on this was that we will accept anyone 16 or under.  Once they turn 18 and are no longer MINORS (hence the term 'minor masters') they will be removed and 'graduated' to a new group that will be made at that time for 'minor master graduates'.

Of course, I'm just some ol' Joe in the group... not like what I say has any weight :D

do they become Major Minors then ?

As add wrote:

that's fine with me, but once they turn 18 they should be kicked off, because we don't want them growing older and older and still being members that will screw up the hole idea of "Minor Masters"

Well, we'll face that when it becomes a true problem.

For now, join us!
