Yeah, but how can you tell if you are good for your age? For all I know, I could be living in a chess professionall land where I am not good, but am good in some other place.

If you spend too much time worrying about whether you are good or not then you will not be as good as if you just played.

hell no....but considering I've taken up this game at the ripe old age of 24....I'm OK.

I live in a retirement community. I could spot all of them a queen and still win. And, I don't consider myself all that good...class B.

My rating is right under that Carlsen guy.

no hes not even rated that high.

It's hard to find a top rated kid who's rated below 2000 unless you go really really young... like 5 year olds :)  So it's all relative.

Maybe a better question would be, are you good considering the age you started playing :)

age or rating has nothing to do with anything. im 13 my rating is 1319 and i beat my expert level coach 4 out of 10 times

When they give blindfold and rook odds the games don't really count shikamaru
