I want to host an all girls tournament on chess.com.  If your interested and your a female just post your username in this thread and I will send you an invite.  All levels of players are welcome!  Keep in mind if you are not a premium member you can only play one game at a time.  Also, if you have any other questions about the tournament you can just message me.

PEACE,

This idea is very sexist.  If I wanted to host a tournament and said no girls allowed, I know that I would get some people angry.

First, I think it is a great idea.  Second, how can it be sexist when in April the Kasporov Chess Foundation is holding its annual All-Girls Open National Championship, with the USCF as an associate.  I am sure there are other tournaments out there that are defined by sex.  Most tournaments have a defining element to them, whether it is rating, age, or catering to a specific group of people.  If the ladies wish to have their own tournament then good for them.

I hope you can make this tournament a reality.  Maybe you can even get some new members for the site.

Good luck.

When you get this going, I'll be sure to send notifications to all of the girls I know who play on here but don't necessarily check the threads, I know a few I'm sure would love to play.

... if you're in Saudi Arabia.

It's a fantastic idea, in fact, and I hope it gets organised.

Thanks to everyone who supports my idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Though, I still do not have any interested female players.  Maybe if you read this thread and like the idea you can spread the word to any women you may be currently playing on chess.com.  THANKS!

Chessica Chesscobedo

p.s. To all those who do not support my idea, it is not meant to exclude men, I plan on organzing many tournaments for everyone.  I just thought it was kind of a fun way to connect with other women who play chess around the world.  :)

I'm certain everyone sees that it's not about excluding men, but getting the girls on the site together. I'm going to send this thread to all of the ones  know. Which will take a while. Hahaha.

Id like to have just a female tournament, Id get to play with other women, I don't believe any of my games been against another girl. I have nothing against men but sometimes I like just hanging with my own sex. I'd play, this is a cool idea!

Hey, I think you should actually set up the tourney so it can actualy take applicants. I mean, I could link people to this thread, but I'd much rather link them directly to the tournament sign up place. Start it. I'm sure you'll get a lot of women who want to check it out.

Because, Kohai, Rayyan is from Saudi Arabia, thus, no doubt, he is a Muslim. The Muslims, Kohai, do not exactly respect women. And THAT is an understatement.

Yes, but they do not have to participate, when your on a world wide site like this your going to run into different religions and beliefs, you'll just have to learn to deal with them, its all part of the experience.

It's not to keep the boys out so don't take it the wrong way.  Mostly, guys tend to play better than girls so this way we girls can have a better chance of competing.  We're not saying," No Boys ALLOWED".  We're saying, "Come on girls, let's get together and have a little female competition."  Ya'll shouldn't overreact to a girl politely suggesting that the females play each other.  If ya'll are polite about it, you guys can have your own tournament too.  Yes, this means I'm interested in playing in the girls chess.com tournament coming up.
