I am rated USCF 1936, but attack isn't my strong suit. My attacks only work against weaker players, and I often find myself losing games to attacks I never saw coming. What one book would you recommend that I invest in? I have already read Art of Attack by Vukovic, and I want to see something more modern than that. Best suggestions?
If you are willing to pay the cash, just get a diamond membership and watch some of the videos on chess.com. Khachiyan's videos are amazing. If you want to pay a bit less, Larry Christiansen has some great videos on another site that I'm not allowed to mention the name of...
Aagaard's attacking manual 1 & 2, although it can be a very hard thing to study for your level. Some exercises can confuse even GM's for quite a while.
Thank's for the replies!
I think I'll go for Aagaard's book, but stick to Volume 1 for now. That should be good enough to get me started
