To improve live chess, would it be possible to play blindfold live chess? I know that it won't work for online chess but what about live chess? All thoughts welcome.

Would be interesting. I have done OTB blindfold chess training and I find it certainly helps.

It improves your chess and visualisation at the same time!

It's an intersting idea, but how would you submit your move?  Click and drag might work, but only if it always appeared to pick up a peice whether you actually had or not....  Better might be to require you to type in your move.

You'd have to type in your move yes Grobe.

I don't know- on chessmaster and Fritz 11 (and 12) you drag the pieces.

In Amber Blindfold tournament the GMs look at an empty board on the screen and drag the pieces, or to be precise, empty squares.
