These days there is a strong chess event in France taking place,  strongest GMs are playing rapid and blindfolt tournament. Blindfold means that you have empty board in front of you, without any pieces and you play the whole game in your head.

Whenever I hear about blindfold games I remember Alekhine when he played vs 24 strong amateur players blinfold ( they had board with pieces). Just imagine playing 20+ blindfold games in the same time.

I heard that this way of playing is good for your calculation and it sharpens your skills. So I decided to give it a chance, I played this game against chessmaster player rated 1500, time control 15 min with 3 sec bonus per move.

If you expect that I played some masterpiece, think again. I decided to put this game to show you that you don't need to be genius to play blindfold chess and to encourage others to try it. It is fun.

yes, please post your games here. It is not important if they are flawless or not, it is important to give it a try. You can learn a lot about your skills. Think that we generaly think of ourselves as better players than we in reality are. Reason is that when you analyse position with moving pieces around the board you see things that normaly would miss. you need to practice calculation in head and blindfold chess is good tool to do it.
