Hello.  I was writing a blog and it gave me a notice that I had taken over 30 minutes and needed to press the save and preview button.  But when I pressed the save and preview button, the entire screen refreshed and I had lost all of my work.  Why do we have to press the save and preview button when we have been working for longer than 30 minutes?

I had that problem once. I think I was using Internet Explorer, though. When I click the button on Chrome I'm fine.

We save after 30 minutes to ensure that none of the work is lost due to lost internet connection etc.! Kinda ironic.

Try clicking the backward button and your work may still be there. Once there, highlight all of your work and paste it into a new blog post. I had to do this once or twice before.

I had this happen in mozilla too (in a forum reoly, not a blog). The second time it happened I hit on ADK's idea and that worked for me too.

If I'm typing anything of length on the internet, I usually go into Windows Notepad or some such program, type it up there, then go and copy it into my browser.  Removes a lot of the potential for disaster.

The thing I was writing had chess.com games in it, so not possible...

My suggestion to KillaBeez is to stop using internet explorer... I've never had the problem with Chrome.
