Buholtz Tie Breaker?

I recently came across the following question on another website:

"Could someone kindly show me a site where I can find how buholtz tie breaker in Chess tournaments works?
it seems this word is unknown on the internet..."

 

I have never heard of this term before and, as the poster remarked, I cannot find any references to it using Google.  Can anyone answer this question?

That's probably because it's called the Buchholz system you're looking for (Why can't Billy Bob ever invent a system?). It's pretty simple - all you have to do is calculate the score of all opponents the tied player faced.
