Well, for those who like men it might be... I, myself, prefer women beach volleyball players Smile  But either way I can't see how chess could be seen as a sexy sport.

Well, that's my opinion, but maybe somebody else might have a crush on Kramnik, who knows?

Kramnik is one of the best players of the world. He'll play Anand for the World Championship later this year. And, well, I'm pretty sure if you put some effort you could make chess look quite more sexier... But alcohol might work better than coffe Laughing

a move can be sexy...especially if its been fully planned...lol... Ive heard comments such as.  "oh now that was sexy" in response to the taking of a queen with a pawn and finally being able to use the en passante rule.

I discovered this chess variant: Strip chess! Everytime a piece (except for the pawns) is captured the player who lost that must remove a clothing!

Now, that is "chexxy" Laughing

I don't know... That you have to set up with your partner before the game starts.

Chess sexy??  I find it highly unlikely anyone would ever find chess sexy.  I'd agree some moves/tactics could be construed as sexy.  Now certain chess players on the other hand may be sexy...but not the game itself.

If you think there's nothing sexy about scoring a mate, have a look at batgirl's webpage, "Chess: Romance, Love and Sex".

Lisa, you've raised raised the sexiness of chess by 1 taa (taa being the unit measure of sexiness, of course)

seriously, Anything can be described as sexy: as a physicist and mathemetician, Ive seen proofs described as sexy, I've even heard computer code called sexy...

I suppose it has more to do with the euphoria of solving a particularly difficult problem in a novel, ellegant way, something that adds beauty to the universe, ...., that's sexy..... as for the euphoria, .... the problem solving kind I mean, it's better than any drug: Discovering something new, that no other human being has ever thought of before, is like locking eyes with God for just a split second, and seeing all the Truth that Is inside them......

A bit of a tangent, I know, but you kind of caught me in a philosophical mood.  You can feel that way, sometimes, while playing chess too, especially when you know that solving that problem means that you are going to win!! That mean nasty feeling of knowing you are going to absolutely crush your opponent.... Damn sexy!
